Hapalopsittaca fuertesi

Identification

This species has a turquoise nape while the relevant subspecies of Rusty-faced Parrot has golden nape.

Distribution

West slope of the Central Andes of Colombia; critically endangered.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1], which in the past has been placed as a subspecies in

Habitat

Humid forests up the mountains with plenty of epiphytes.

Behaviour

Feed on berries in the canopy.
