- Yellow underparts
- Red rump
- Bill has dark violet and yellow markings
Distribution
South America: found in eastern Venezuela to the Guianas and northern, also southern Brazil (Amazon Basin)
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1], though some authorities recognise subspecies P. v. didymus[2]
Habitat
Lowland forests.
Behaviour
Diet
Frugivorous; their main diet consisting of figs and fruit.
