Genus: Cinclosoma
Description
Quail-thrushes from Australia and New Guinea.
These are shy, elusive terrestrial birds. Their longest primary is P8, the rictal bristles are much reduced.
Taxonomy
Cinclosoma is a genus in the family Cinclosomatidae.
The desert species are closely related and their taxonomy is still in much debate. They are also closely related to the Jewel-babblers from New Guinea and both genera were formerly included in the family Eupetidae.
