Greater Scaup (juvi) (Arthya marila)

It has been bird dulldrums here at home for last couple of weeks. Most warbler migrants have come and gone and still a little early for many of the migrating ducks.
So still going thru and processing some of pics from London/Paris trip.
Most of the birds I got on that trip were from 1 day walk thru Hyde park.
This young Scaup was one of them.
I ID'd this one as Greater Scaup mostly based on the broader/larger looking bill. The flatness/slant of head shape always troughs me.
Anyone thinks it is a Lesser rather than Greater, let me know.

Good catch Ken, nice job buddy...A species I dont have in me gallery, lucky you. Could be a juve, but I reckon its maybe a female?

Superb close-up image, captured beautifully with excellent feather detail, stunning color and pin sharp. Perfect head position with great eye Thank you very much for sharing.

Great shot Ken :t: Like it lots. Lesser's usually have a different shaped head as well. Tfs
