Mediterranean is a large, almost enclosed sea between North Africa and Europe from the Straits of Gibraltar to Turkey and includes the coastlines of southern Spain, France and Monaco, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Greece and Turkey on the northern shores; Syria, Lebanon, Israel and Palestine in the east; with North-east Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya and Egypt on its southern shores.
There are numerous islands, including the Balearics, Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily, Malta, Crete and Cyprus
