Emberizoides ypiranganus


20 cm (7¾ in)

  • Grey underparts
  • Yellow lower mandible
  • Long pointed tail


South America: found in the marshes of South East Brazil, Uruguay, eastern Paraguay and north-eastern Argentina


This is a monotypic species[1].


Found in wet to damp grassland



They forage on the ground, but no information about their diet is available.
