A tropical African country that lies between 4ºN and 5ºS and between 11ºE and 19ºE. It is bounded by Gabon to the west and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to the east. It is also known as Congo-Brazzaville (the city of Brazzaville is the capital) or simply the Congo.
