Overview
A large urban park with extensive wetland areas. Good for migrant waterfowl including American White Pelican. Lightly wooded areas attract migrant warblers.
Birds
Notable Species
Highlights are northern winter migrants especially waterfowl: Blue-winged Teal, Cinnamon Teal, American Avocet, Spotted Sandpiper, American White Pelican (50+ present), Marsh Wren etc. The following are present year-round: Black-necked Stilt, Killdeer, Song Sparrow.
Other Wildlife
Large population of Mexican Grey Squirrel. These can be all black or even largely white.
