Breeding male

  • Golden-yellow forehead and crown
  • Olive-green nape, upperparts and tail
  • Olive-brown upperwing
  • Yellow edges to remiges

Distribution

Africa:
Western Africa: south-eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola
Eastern Africa: north-western Zambia

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Riparian grasslands and shrubby areas along streams.

Behaviour

Diet

Their main diet consists of insects, such as beetles, caterpillars and grasshoppers.

Breeding

They breed colonially and are thought to be Polygynous.
