Distribution

Indonesia : Western New Guinea (Salawati Island and western Vogelkop Peninsula).

Taxonomy

Blue-fronted Fig Parrot, Dusky-cheeked Fig Parrot, and Black-fronted Fig Parrot were formerly considered a single species, the Orange-breasted Fig Parrot.

Subspecies

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Moist lowland forests.
