Overview
A deciduous woodland containing English Oak, Ash and Birch, this reserve also has an understorey of Hazel and adjacent pastureland. The birdlife of this wood is typical of a southern English woodland.

Notable Species
Breeding species include various warblers and tits, Common Treecreeper, Eurasian Nuthatch, Tawny Owl and Great Spotted Woodpecker but there are no particularly scarce or unusual species.

Access and Facilities
The reserve is of open access at all times and is situated close to the Surrey/Sussex border. It can be reached on the B2131 Haslemere to Petworth road 1km east of Haslemere. Park by the second turning to Black Down and follow the public footpath to the reserve.
