Identification
- Mostly green
- Powder-blue lores and forehead
- Pale yellow-green cheeks and chin.
Distribution
South America: found in tropical south-eastern Peru and north-western Bolivia (and probably adjacent western Brazil)
Taxonomy
Monotypic.
Habitat
Lowland forests near bamboo and rivers.
Behaviour
Usually seen in small flocks of less than 20.
Diet
The diet includes seeds and fruit.
Breeding
They nest in bromeliads or other epiphytes.
