South America: found in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia

Taxonomy

Subspecies

There are 2 subspecies[1]:

  • C. m. mollissima:
  • C. m. yungae:
  • Locally in Andes of south-eastern Peru (Cusco) and northern Bolivia (Cochabamba)

Habitat

Inhabits dense undergrowth often with fallen trees in cloud forests.
