Distribution
South America: found in the Andes of western Colombia and western Ecuador (south to El Oro).
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
This species has been placed in genus Tangara in the past.
Habitat
Humid and wet pre-montane forests and forest borders and clearings.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists of fruit and arthropods, such as flying termites, caterpillars and larvae.
