Identification

- Grey upperparts

- Blackish wings
- L-shaped wing-patch
- Pale grey underparts
- Buffy belly
Distribution
South America: found in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Chile.
Taxonomy
Subspecies
There are 3 subspecies[1]:

- C. c. littorale:
- C. c. cinereum:
- Andes of south-eastern Peru and western Bolivia
Habitat
Intermontane valleys between 2500-4200m, also mixed agricultural areas and gardens.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists almost entirely of small insects.
