- Cyanoptila cumatilis
Identification
16–17 cm (6-6¾ in) Male resembles Blue-and-white Flycatcher but has less dark or more bluish head-sides, throat and breast. Female and first-winter male cannot be distinguished from Blue-and-white Flycatcher.
Distribution
Breeds in central China (Shaanxi east to Beijing, and south to northwest Hubei); wintering range very poorly known, but recorded south to Malaysia
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Formerly included in Blue-and-white Flycatcher.
Habitat
Lowland and sub-montane forests; wooded slopes.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists of beetles, moths, bees, larvae and other small invertebrates.
Movements
Migratory.
