Identification
Grey crown is contrasting to olive back and underside is yellowish.
Distribution
Limited area on both sides of the border of Peru and Bolivia.
Patchily distributed and not common. Suffers from habitat destruction.
Taxonomy
This is a new species described in 2008. It is monotypic.
It seems to be closely related to Planalto Tyrannulet.
Habitat
Found in the upper canopy of foothill and lower montane forest at 700 - 1200m. Also seen in shade-coffee plantations.
