Distribution
South America: endimic to Colombia.

- North-central Colombia (Botero area of Río Porce in Antioquia)
- C. h. extinctus:
- Colombia (Magdalena Valley in Caldas, Cundinamarca, Tolima)
Habitat
Tropical wet forest, pastureland, and plantations.

The diet includes seeds, fruit and insects.
