Identification
20 cm. Dark brown upperparts, white breast and throat shading into grey-brown belly and flanks, yellow patch between the eye and bill, long and rounded tail.
Distribution
Hispaniola (Southern Haiti and the nearest small area of Dominican Republic constituted of Sierra Bahoruco) in the West Indies.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species1.
Habitat
Wet forest in mountain areas.
Behaviour
It forages on the ground but is frequently seen low in bushes.
