Identification

- Slate-grey crown
- White flecks over lores and supercilium
- Yellowish-olive upperparts
- Orange lower mandible
- Wide cinnamon (not yellow) wing bars
Similar Species
Distribution
South America: found in the Andes of Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Peru.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species.[1]
Has been placed in genus Pogonotriccus by Gill and Donsker (2010).[2]
Habitat
Mountain forest, especially wet, mossy forests.
Behaviour
Diet
They eat mostly arthropods. They forage singly, in pairs and in mixed species flocks, often with Marble-faced Bristle Tyrant
