Alternative name Doubleday's Hummingbird

Identification

Dark blue-black undertail-coverts, blue forehead and longer, more deeply forked tail than in Broad-billed Hummingbird.

Distribution

  • Southern Mexico (Guerrero, Oaxaca and Chiapas) in an area along the Pacific coast.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

This species was formerly included in Broad-billed Hummingbird.
