Genus: Turdinus
Description
This genus would contains up to 10 species from southeast Asia.
They are all chunky medium-sized babblers with strong legs, feet and claws. The rump feathers are notably copious, they have long rictal bristles and a rather dark plumage with scalloped, marbled and diffusely streaked patterings. Their songs are simple.
Taxonomy
Turdinus is a genus in the Family Pellorneidae.
Species formerly included in this genus have been found in the genus Napothera, [[:Category:Malacocincla
|Malacocincla]] or Gypsophila.
