Myzomela rosenbergii

Includes: Long-billed Myzomela

Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.

Subspecies longirostris may be split as "Long-billed Myzomela", M. longirostris. In this case, remaining subspecies (rosenbergii, wahgiensis) form "Red-collared Myzomela", M. rosenbergii (strict sense).

Taxa we include here which Clements recognises [1]:

  • M. r. rosenbergii: Mountains of north west New Guinea
  • M. r. wahgiensis: Mountains of west and central New Guinea
  • M. r. longirostris: "Long-billed Myzomela". Goodenough Island (D'Entrecasteaux Archipelago)

Subtropical or tropical moist montanes.
