Identification
Very light underside, mid gray upperside, black mask, little iridescent blue area on wing (which is difficult to see most of the time).
Distribution
Central and South America: found in Costa Rica, Panama and Colombia.
Taxonomy
Subspecies
There are 3 subspecies[1]:
- T. i. rava:
- Caribbean lowlands of south-eastern Costa Rica and western Panama
- T. i. languens:
- T. i. inornata:
- Northern Colombia (Sinú, lower Cauca, middle Magdalena valleys)
Habitat
Lowland tropical rain forest.
