Pernis steerei

Two subspecies are recognized[1]:

  • P. s. winkleri
    • Philippines (Luzon, Polillo, Catanduanes, Marinduque, and Sibuyan)
  • P. s. steerei
    • Philippines (except for Luzon, Polillo, Catanduanes, Marinduque, Sibuyan, Cebu, and Palawan)

Philippine Honey Buzzard was recently split from Barred Honey Buzzard (which probably should be known by the better name of Sulawesi Honey Buzzard)
