Dicaeum concolor

Identification

Similar to Plain Flowerpecker but with broader whitish brow and heavier bluish bill with black tip.

Distribtuion

Endemic to southwest India (Western Ghats).

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species.
It was formerly considerd conspecific with Plain Flowerpecker and Andaman Flowerpecker.

Habitat

Woodland edges, cultivation and isolated stands of trees, often in hilly country.

Behaviour

Breeding

The 2-3 eggs are laid in a purse-like nest suspended from a tree or bush.
