The Marquesas Islands are a group of volcanic islands in the Southern Pacific Ocean. They are a part of French Polynesia.

Several endemic species are found on the islands like Fatuhiva Monarch, Iphis Monarch, Marquesan Monarch, Marquesan Kingfisher, Marquesan Swiftlet or Ultramarine Lorikeet.
