Identification

11cm. Long curved bill. Iridescent green head with golden sheen. Thin violet breast band, with orange-red breast below, and yellow-olive flanks to vent. Female is greenish-olive above, with head and throat greyer, and underparts yellower.

This is one of the many Sunbirds that have recently been moved to the genus Cinnyris from the genus Nectarinia.
