Overview
Nature Park
Area size: 497 acres (201 hectares) of secondary forest; formerly a mangrove forest, mainly dominated by strangling figs and other coastal trees such as Cordia dichtama; along with the mangrove fern. Mangroves however still cover about 234 acres (95 hectares) of the park. These trees have been allowed to rejuvenate within the boundaries of the mangrove park. Several hundred acres of paddy field located adjacent to a peat swamp forest.
Other Areas
Apart from the nature park, there are a few other habitats for watching birds, but these require travel by vehicle.

Notable Species
Among the specialities of the park are Mangrove Pitta, Mangrove Blue Flycatcher, Ruddy-breasted Crake, and many others. Over 150 species have been recorded.
