Western Africa: Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Nigeria, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola
Eastern Africa: Kenya, Uganda

Taxonomy

Formerly placed in the genus Andropadus.

There are 3 subspecies[1]:

Habitat

A variety of forest types primary, secondary, deciduous, evergreen, swamp and gallery woodland.

Behaviour

Diet

Their diet consists of seeds, fruit and insects, including arthropods, beetles, moths, ants and caterpillars.
