- Buffish under parts
- Long erect crest
Distribution
Asia: found in China, Tibet, Nepal, Pakistan, India, Eastern and Western Himalayas and Bhutan
Southeast Asia: occurs only in Indochina and Myanmar
Taxonomy
Subspecies
There are 4 subspecies[1]:
- L. d. kangrae:
- L. d. dichrous :
- L. d. dichroides:
- North-eastern Tibet to south-western China (northern Sichuan, Qinghai, Gansu and Shaanxi)
- L. d. wellsi:
Habitat
Forests, mountain Valleys. Observed at heights around 8000 feet.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists mostly of insects, larvae and invertebrates. Seen feeding with Dark-breasted Rosefinch on cooked egg shells.
