Distribution

Central America: found in Mexico, Belize and Guatemala.

Taxonomy

Subspecies

There are 2 subspecies[1]:

  • G. s. sallaei:
  • Coastal south-eastern Mexico (Veracruz, Tabasco, eastern Oaxaca and northern Chiapas)
  • G. s. boucardi:

Habitat

Undergrowth of tropical dry forest; Woodland fringes.

Behaviour

Diet

Their diet consists almost entirely of insects.
