Distribution
South America: found in arid tropical south-western Ecuador and north-western Peru.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Has also been placed in genus Empidonax.
Habitat
Forests up to 2200 m.
Behaviour
Diet
Their main diet is insects taken in flight from a concealed perch.
