Overview
This lake set in an attractive area of coniferous woodland has a bird observation on its southern shore.

Notable Species
The lake has much surrounding vegetation and attracts a wide variety of birds in summer and on passage including Common Crane, Osprey and Greylag Goose, Caspian Tern and Little Gull. The surrounding woods are home to Black Woodpecker and Eurasian Goshawk and White-tailed Eagle occurs on passage.

From Visby take Route 147 eastwards and turn onto Route 146 after 35km. From here take the road to Botvaldevik and after a short distance there is a track to a car park on the left.
