Similar Species
Male White-shouldered Antbird is similar but females differ; should mostly be found north of Goeldi's Antbird.
Distribution
South America: found from South-eastern Peru to extreme north-western Bolivia and extreme south-western Amazonian Brazil
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Formerly placed in genus Myrmeciza by Gill and Donsker.
Habitat
Varied lowland habitat, including thickets, bamboo and different types of forest and edge.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists of insects, including spiders, but there is little information available.
