Identification

Distribution

South-east Asia. Endemic to the Philippines.

Taxonomy

Two subspecies recognized:

  • A. f. decolor: Northern Philippines (north-eastern Luzon)
  • A. f. flagrans: Northern Philippines (southern Luzon and Catanduanes)

Maroon-naped Sunbird was formerly considered conspecific with this species.

Habitat

Uncommon in forest, edge and second growth up to 1350 m.
