Distribution
South America: found in the Andean foothills of south-western Ecuador (El Oro and Azuay).
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Damp forest and pastureland. Observed in tropical cloud forest at around .800 m
Behaviour
Breeding
They nest in natural cavities; the eggs are white.
Diet
The diet includes figs, fruit and flowers.
