Distribution
Caribbean: found only in the Dominican Republic.
Taxonomy
Subspecies
There are 3 subspecies[1]:
- C. f. frugivorus:
- Western Dominican Republic (Benefactor to Sanan )
- C. f. neibei:
- Central Dominican Republic
- C. f. abbotti:
- Gonave Island (east of Haiti)
Habitat
Cloud forest and shrubland, broadleaf forest, dense thickets, ravines and near water.
Behaviour
The diet includes invertebrates.

Song: whistling chip-chip-swerp-swerp-swerp
