Female: dark eyes
Distribution
South America: found in Brazil, northern Uruguay, Paraguay, and north-eastern Argentina.
Taxonomy
Yungas Guan was recently split from this species.
Subspecies
This is a monotypic species[1]. Formerly recognized subspecies P. o. bronzina is now considered a synonym of the nominate form.
Habitat
Atlantic forest, woodland, scrub and riversides, agricultural lands and city parks.
Behaviour
Diet
The diet includes fruit, flowers and buds.
