Identification

15cm

  • Brown, black striped above
  • Lead grey below
  • Dark wings
  • White barred coverts
  • Dark abdomen with white bars
  • Dark green bill
  • Grey green legs

Distribution

Southern Uruguay and northern Argentina.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Lowland grassland, seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland, freshwater lakes, freshwater marshes, and coastal saline lagoons.

Behaviour

Voice is unknown.
