Turkey and the Middle East to Southern Nepal to north-eeastern India
Taxonomy
This species was formerly included in Graceful Prinia
Subspecies
Four subspecies are recognized[1].
- P. g. akyildizi: Coastal southern Turkey (Antalya to Adana)
- P. g. carpenteri: Coastal Oman
- P. g. lepida: northeastern Syria, Iraq, and southwestern Iran to Afghanistan, Pakistan and northern India
- P. g. stevensi: Southern Nepal to north-eeastern India (Assam and Arunachal Pradesh)

Call: Has a variety of calls.
