Distribution
South America: found in Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina.
Taxonomy
Subspecies
There are 2 subspecies[1]:
- O. o. polionota:
- Andes of Peru (north to La Libertad and western Hu nuco)
- O. o. oenanthoides:
Habitat
High altitude shrublands and moist montanes. Xeriphytic scrub, observed at heights around 2,030 m
Behaviour
Diet
Their main diet consists almost entirely of insects.
