Subspecies
There are 3 subspecies[1]:
- M. o. ochromelas:
- Western New Guinea (Tamrau, Arfak and Wandammen Mountains)
- M. o. batesi:
- South-eastern New Guinea (Weyland and Nassau Mountains)
- M. o. lucifer:
- North-eastern New Guinea (Mountains of Huon Peninsula)
Habitat
Moist montanes.
