Identification

10 cm

  • Olive green upperparts
  • Greyish-olive crown
  • Broad yellow supercilium
  • Dark eyestripe
  • Yellow breast, flanks and vent
  • Dark brown remiges
  • Broad cream double wing-bar
  • Pale bill
  • Bright blue legs

Distribution

South America: found in the rainforests of Pacific slope of Western Andes of Colombia (and probably into north-western Ecuador).

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Primary cloud-forest.

Behaviour

The diet includes invertebrates.
