Asia: China, Tibet, Nepal, India, Eastern and Western Himalayas and Bhutan
Southeast Asia: Myanmar and Thailand

Taxonomy

Subspecies

There are 2 subspecies^[1]:

• C. m. major:

• Himalayas of Nepal to north-eastern India, south-eastern Tibet, Myanmar and south-western China

• C. m. vafra:

• North-eastern India (Meghalaya and Cachar hills of Assam)
