Description
Genus of Piping Guans. All species of this genus are threatened.
Taxonomy
Pipile is a genus in the family Cracidae. A proposal to merge this genus into genus Aburria was not passed by the SACC. One of the lines of evidence presented was short time of separation between members of the two genera.
