Genus: Oreothlypis
Description
Taxonomy
Oreothlypis is a genus in the family Parulidae.
It has recently been resurrected by the AOU[2]. The species in this genus have formerly been placed in either genus Parula or genus Vermivora.
However, SACC in their discussion of this proposal voted to split this genus such that only Flame-throated Warbler and Crescent-chested Warbler remain in Oreothlypis while the rest should be moved to the newly described genus Leiothlypis.
