Genus: Androphobus
Description
This genus contains only one species, the Papuan Whipbird, a poorly known species from New Guinea.
Taxonomy
Androphobus is a genus in the family Psophodidae.
The species is poorly studied but similarities in plumage to the Whipbirds suggest a relationship with them.
Has been placed within the Bush-warblers in the past due to its similarity with the Friendly Bush-Warbler and in the family Eupetidae.
