Identification
Distribution
Endemic to the coastal mountains of northern Venezuela (Aragua, Miranda, Distrito Federal).
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species.
It was formerly included in Stripe-headed Brush Finch. It has in the past been placed in genus Atlapetes and is also placed in Buarremon by some authorities.
Habitat
Behaviour
Usually fouraging on ground or very low in undergrowth.
