Distribution
South America: found in Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana, Venezuela and Brazil north of the Amazon.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
This species is sometimes placed in genus Pionopsitta.
Habitat
Moist lowland forests.
